While our Great Commission students were training, something special was happening nearby – our very first Children’s Congress in Petén! Two hundred young faces filled the campus with energy and joy.
Each child received their own name tag and notebook, making them feel like VIPs for the day. The excitement was contagious as they rotated through four unique workshops, each bringing Bible stories to life in fresh ways. Two of our Great Commission students, professional soccer coaches, had the kids running, laughing, and learning on the field. Who knew soccer could teach so much about faith? ⚽
The day wasn’t just about fun and games – though there were plenty! Quiet moments of prayer touched young hearts, and many children chose to begin their own journey with Christ. These precious decisions are what it’s all about.
Small acts of kindness, like personalized materials and one-on-one attention, showed each child just how valued they are. Sometimes the simplest gestures make the biggest impact! 💝
